Resources for understanding Jesus

Here is an early church creed that helps us understand the relationship between God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

Nicene Creed

We believe in one God,
the Father, the Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all that is, seen and unseen.

We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ,
the only son of God,
eternally begotten of the Father,
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made,
of one being with the Father.
Through him all things were made.
For us and for our salvation
he came down from heaven:
by the power of the Holy Spirit
he became incarnate from the Virgin Mary,
and was made man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate;
he suffered death and was buried.
On the third day he rose again
in accordance with the Scriptures;
he ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory
to judge the living and the dead,
and his kingdom will have no end.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father [and the Son].
With the Father and the Son
he is worshipped and glorified.
He has spoken through the Prophets.
We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church.
We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
We look for the resurrection of the dead,
and the life of the world to come. AMEN.

    • I am wondering on what parameters this Report Card is been generated. Is there a tool to measure our website from Google itself? It won't solve any purpose of my clients website unless I have a tool from Google itself rather then looking for other optimization tools. Also, the content recommended on this card is quite confusing for a fresher.Believing this tool…is a gambling.Regards,Poonam SudParker.iemployee@gmail.com

    • Frankly, I didn't know there was any great British food–ha-ha! When I was growing up in Blighty, forty-plus years ago, it was meat-potatoes-and-three-of-veg with pudding and custard for "sweet." Yes, Fanny Craddock had a cooking show, but we watched it to make fun of her name not learn how to cook.Ah, wonderful days!

    • f1Nice read, I just passed this onto a colleague who was doing a little research on that. And he actually bought me lunch as I found it for him smile Therefore let me rephrase that: Thank you for lunch!

    • What reason is there to believe that SSPX priests want to teach in diocesan seminaries? If they are hired by a bishop, they can be fired by the same bishop. I don’t sense a great deal of trust from that community; it seems destined to prevent some from being fully reconciled, and even those who are reconciled may choose to play it safe and stay in their own chapels, subject only to their own bishop. That would prevent them from picking up habits from the “Novus Ordo prs21ti&#8e2s; — and vice versa.

  1. Hey! Quick question that’s completely off topic. Do you know how to make your site mobile friendly? My weblog looks weird when browsing from my iphone. I’m trying to find a theme or plugin that might be able to resolve this problem. If you have any recommendations, please share. With thanks!
